2 Means of Collection of Personal Information

Personal Information may be freely provided by the User, or, in case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using this Application. In certain circumstances, we may receive Personal Information from third parties, including when you provided your consent for credit checks and credentials verification.

Unless specified otherwise, all Personal Information requested by the Application is mandatory and failure to provide this information may make it impossible for the Application to provide its services. In cases where this Application specifically states that some information is not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this information without consequences to the availability or the functioning of the Service.

Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Information obtained, published or shared through this Application. Any use of Cookies — or of other tracking tools — by the Application or by the owners of third-party services used by the Application serves the purpose of providing the Service required by the User, in addition to any other purposes described in the present document and in the Cookie Policy.

3 Methods, Retention and International Transfer of Personal Information

Methods of Processing

Cosign Financial takes appropriate security measures to prevent loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction of Personal Information. Depending on the volume and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which it is used and the format in which it is stored, we implement a combination of measures to protect your personal information.

International Transfer and Processing

Cosign Financial is based in Canada. Depending on the User’s location, data transfers may involve transferring the User’s information to a country or province other than their own. Personal Information may be processed, stored, or accessed by service providers in jurisdictions outside of Canada, including the United States and the Philippines, where data protection laws may differ from those in the User’s home jurisdiction, and where Personal Information may be subjected to the law of that foreign jurisdiction, including any law permitting or requiring disclosure of the information to the government, government agencies, courts and law enforcement in that jurisdiction.

Retention Time

Unless specified otherwise in this document, Personal Information shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for, and for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, to manage our business operations, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. Once no longer required, your personal information will be securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with legal requirements.

Cosign Financial may be allowed to retain Personal Information for a longer period whenever the User has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. Furthermore, Cosign Financial may be obliged to retain Personal Information for a longer period whenever required to fulfil a legal obligation or upon order of an authority. Once the retention period expires, Personal Information shall be deleted.

4 Disclosure of Personal Information

In addition to Cosign Financial, in some cases, Personal Information may be accessible to certain types of persons in order to achieve the purposes set out in this section:

• Affiliates. We may share your personal information with Cosign Financial affiliates for purposes described in this Policy, for example administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration.
• Service providers. We hire companies and individuals to perform certain tasks on our behalf. 5 The Purposes of Processing

The information concerning the User is collected for the following purposes or otherwise, with your consent or as permitted or required by law:

• To allow Cosign Financial to provide its Service, including sending timed messages to the User such as emails containing invoices or notifications concerning payment.
• To comply with legal obligations, respond to enforcement requests, protect its rights and interests (or those of its Users or third parties).
• To manage business activities, improve business strategies, detect any malicious or fraudulent activity, and ensure the security of IT systems.
• For contacting the User, registration and authentication, access to third-party services’ accounts, managing contacts and sending messages.
• For improving and optimizing the Application and providing access to third-party platforms: Analytics, Interaction with external social networks and platforms, Remarketing and behavioral targeting, Advertising, Tag Management, Content commenting, A/B testing, Displaying content from external platforms, Handling payments, Infrastructure monitoring, Location-based interactions, Managing landing and invitation pages, Managing support and contact requests, Social features and User database management.

6 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may collect certain types of information electronically through your contact with our Application using technologies such as Trackers. As part of the Application, we use the following Trackers:

• Strictly Necessary: These Trackers are necessary for the Application to function and cannot be switched off in our systems.
• Functional: These Trackers are used to recognize and remember Users’ preferences, such as language preferences, to adapt our Application accordingly.
• Analytical: These Trackers help us understand how Users interact with the Application, providing information on metrics such as the number of visitors, bounce rate, and traffic source. Users can remove or disable Trackers and some of these technologies at any time through their browser and our cookie banner. However, if Users do so, they may not be able to use certain features of our Application.

7 The Rights of Users

Users may exercise certain rights regarding their information processed by Cosign Financial. In particular, Users have the right to do the following, to the extent permitted by law:

• Withdraw their consent at any time. Users have the right to withdraw consent where they have previously given their consent to the processing of their Personal Information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawal of consent may affect the provision of services.
• Access their information. Users have the right to obtain disclosure regarding certain aspects of the processing and obtain a copy of the information undergoing processing.
• Verify and seek rectification. Users have the right to verify the accuracy of their information and ask for it to be updated or corrected.

8 Changes to This Policy

Cosign Financial reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying its Users on this page and possibly within this Application and/or — as far as technically and legally feasible — sending a notice to Users via any contact information available to Cosign Financial. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom.

Should the changes affect processing activities performed on the basis of the User’s consent, Cosign Financial shall collect new consent from the User, where required.
